It is impossible to list all the activities you could undertake in the Dordogne. Much of the Dordogne region is stunning countryside and it’s easy to get off the beaten track. Discover beautiful, sleepy villages or pay a visit to one of the many popular tourist destinations.

During the year, there are also lots of different festivals to enjoy throughout the Dordogne.

Dordogne Markets

If you are self-catering in the Dordogne, you can stock up on fresh produce at one of the local markets. These are usually held in the morning and run until 12.30pm. During the summer months, special night markets are also held in many towns. These are also well worth a visit.

Market in St. Cyprien

Supermarkets are located at St Cyprien (open on Sunday morning) and Sarlat. Please remember that many shops and all banks close on Mondays. The nearest cashpoint is at St Cyprien which also has two petrol stations.

Church

Services differ from village to village.

Catholic masses are:

  • La Roque Gageac on a Saturday at 6.30pm.
  • St Cyprien on a Sunday at 11.15am.

Anglican Church:
